Rain, Rain go away

Out of nowhere we had a HUGE rainstorm this afternoon! I took both Jack AND Carson to Jack’s swim lesson. I don’t recommend it.  Although Carson was pretty good considering he was in a chlorine filled room and buckled in his stroller, I felt guilty because he ate almost an entire container of “puffs” as it was way too close to dinner time for him! Jack didn’t get a good night of sleep last night so he whined most of the time and wasn’t willing to try anything new. So by the time the 30 minute lesson ended I had two kids whining and Paul called to tell me that it was pouring buckets outside…perfect.   Normally he takes Jack to swim while I stay at home with Carson to get dinner ready but tonight he had a meeting. Anyway…sweet hubby that he is, he rode by the Rec Center and pulled under the overhang to load the boys up so that only Mommy had to walk in the rain!

We have a busy weekend ahead, dinner with friends tomorrow night and a party Saturday night. We were supposed to have Carson’s 1 year photos taken on Sunday…but Mr. Weatherman says Rain…again. I can’t think of a time when I’ve been more ready for spring! Bring on the heat!

Happy Birthday Sweet Carson Graham

What a wonderful celebration…small but sweet. Carson enjoyed  his cheese puffs and his cupcake…evident by this video. Thanks to everyone for the great gifts and to those who helped us celebrate.

This morning we enjoyed a great church service and afterwards we went down front for Carson’s dedication. It was a very sweet dedication and we had several friends there with us, as well as my parents and Aunt Laura.

Here are a few pics from the weekend. One last thing…big congrats to Paul’s brother James and his wife Sue. They welcomed Seth Robert Graham to the family on Saturday. We’re so happy for them and can’t wait to meet our new nephews in Canada.

Where’s the Kitty Cat?

Just had to share this quick clip. Carson is really getting into his books at night. We’ve been practicing pointing to the kitty cat. He finally pointed to the cat all on his own…until Paul came up with the camera. It’s still cute watching him point!
